I have been a family physician in Edmonton since 2002. I discovered the world of fine wine during my residency training. That early interest evolved into a passion for both learning and teaching wine appreciation. In 2015, I began formal wine studies with the International Sommelier Guild (ISG) and completed levels 1 and 2 before switching to the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) based in the UK. I completed WSET Level 3 in 2016 and in early 2020 I completed the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines, with distinction.
In 2007 I started the Noble Rot Society, a local wine tasting group for physicians and spouses. It is my pleasure to organize and lead tastings and dinners for this group and they have allowed me enormous latitude to try some unique and sometimes unorthodox wine events, now well over a hundred of them! If you're looking for ideas for your private wine event please peruse the archive of past events for inspiration!
